CLEAN THOUGHTS
Hope your summer is getting off to a great start. I am under a deluge right now -- of tomatoes! This year I planted about 9 varieties of tomatoes and they all came in at once. Most of the ones I planted from seeds did really well. In fact, they were the best. The most profuse producer is one called Lemon Boy. It's a yellow, low-acid tomato that I just love. It's also very pretty in the basket with red tomatoes too.
Do you have any plans for vacation? We took ours at the start of the summer with two weeks off in two different places. We went to New York City for a week and walked almost 10 miles a day. Then, we went to Costa Rica and hiked trails beneath a rumbling volcano. Think you're important? Well, you'll find out just how insignificant you are next to the incredible force of a volcano!
We also went zip-lining. These are long cables strung hundreds of feet from the rainforest floor and they go through jungle canopy. You will never appreciate the beauty of a rainforest until you are whizzing past it on a steel cable over one hundred feet up at 65 mph! The worst part wasn't even the scary stuff -- which you get over pretty quickly -- it was that there was a 77-year-old woman doing it. I was stunned. And now I'll never have another excuse to say I am too old to do this or that. And I told her so! Yeah, for her, really. Hope you try something wild this summer and have some F-U-N!
Until next time...
Warmly,
