CLEAN THOUGHTS

I've done a terrible thing.  I had my eyes corrected with Lasik surgery and now I can see I've been missing cobwebs in my cleaning! ;-)  Actually, it's been a blessing to have my eyes corrected.  I'm so excited to be rid of glasses -- although I have to use reading glasses now to read fine print.  But, no longer having glasses sit on my face is so wonderful.  But, it's true... I have been seeing things that I missed before.  One of those things was a stain in the bottom of a wine decanter.  All I could think was, How long has that been there?

This week finery expert, Jessica Kendrick, explains how to clean fine crystal decanters and an important tip on lead decanters.  It's a "fine point" in cleaning, but it's the little things that count, isn't it?

By the way, if you haven't signed up yet, be sure and subscribe to my new home ezine, Real Home E-zine.  It's filled with advice and tips for real families.  Take this last issue -- Real Home experts talk about how to survive an affair in your marriage, recipes for sun drying tomatoes and even how to get your kids to eat broccoli.  I hope you'll check it out.  Want to read an issue?  Check it out here.  (If link doesn't open, paste this into your browser:  http://tinyurl.com/2nkhc4).

Until next time...

Warmly,
