October 6 2010 Container Gardening Newsletter

My green thumb came only as a result of the mistakes I made while learning to see things from the plant's point of view. ~H. Fred Dale

Hello and welcome! Thank you for your interest in the Container Gardening Newsletter at BellaOnline. My name is Kay Boeger and I'm an all around plant geek.

The Container Gardening Site will feature a wide variety of articles to help everyone address the triumphs and trials of container gardening. Whether you have a green thumb or not, you'll find something of interest!

Upcoming articles will include the basics of successful container gardening, such as soil, light and water requirements, as well as articles on pests and disease control. We'll also discuss more creative topics such as inexpensive decorating ideas for plant containers, planting in containers for visual effect, growing vegetables in containers and much, much more!

Of course, I'll be talking about my favorite plants, the plants that are thriving and the plants that are struggling!

In the dictionary, the word "garden" is defined as "a rich, well-cultivated area". That's what I hope to achieve here at the Container Gardening Site at BellaOnline; a diverse group of women who are adding beauty and interest to their worlds by growing.
