Kid Friendly Skewer Recipes

Skewers can make preparing snacks and meals much more fun, especially if you let your kids create their very own! Here are a few ideas to get your family started!

Cooking For Kids Tip of the Week: Daylight Savings Time! (Not cooking related, but just a happy reminder).

Don’t forget to set all of your clocks, watches, alarms to “Spring Forward” if you have not already done so. For some reason, my husband and I can’t figure out how to set our car clock. Seriously, it’s right half the year, wrong the other half. We’ve tried every silly button and, after ten years, have just let it be. Hopefully you’ll have better luck with your car clocks!

Also, be sure your laptops, computers, and cell phones are automatically updated with the new time. Maybe that’s what our car needs, an automatic update. :)

Forum News:

The Cooking for Kids forum is in full swing! I tried out a brand new game last week called Choose the Ingredient. It was a huge success, and thank you to everyone who played!

The Choose The Ingredient game lasts twenty four hours and you can post any ingredient that can be found in the grocery store, such as a spice, meat, veggie, drink, etc. After twenty four hours, I present you with a recipe spectacular or recipe disaster using the ingredients in the thread.

You and your kids can play along too! See what recipes you can come up with, and post them after the game ends!

Our next Choose the Ingredient game begins Sunday, March 9th and will end Monday, March 10th. Have fun!!

I hope to hear from you sometime soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message. I thrive on your feedback!

Have fun passing this message along to family and friends, because we all love free knowledge!
