I cannot remember the last time I went an entire seven days without watching a film, but it happened this past week. What to write about then? Music and film seemed a good choice, so this week's article lists my top ten choices for the best songs from movies. It was difficult choosing just 10 great movie songs, even though I narrowed the category to music with vocals. Then I got sidetracked watching clips of the fantastic performances. Look for a "part two" of this article in the future.

The future of The Weinstein Company is still hanging in the balance. In what would be poetic justice, businesswoman Maria Contreras-Sweet may end up taking over Harvey Weinstein's leadership role. She has submitted a bid to TWC. If her proposal is accepted, Contreras-Sweet would be the Chairwoman of a majority-female board of directors and women would own 51% of the stock in the company. The tidal wave of sexual harassment claims may lead to real change in the film industry. Stay tuned.
