Greetings and Salutations!

I've tweaked the forum promo code to make it even easier! If you go in to edit any article, down at the bottom of the edit page are links to help you promote that article in your forums. The forum link now goes DIRECTLY to your "make a post" page so it's just one click! You just click, paste and you're set!

This is an awesome way to raise your traffic and to get feedback on your writings. Enjoy!

Editors love to get feedback in their forums, but sometimes they're stumped about getting the ball rolling. How do you lure people into your forums, to encourage them to start posting? Here are some ideas!

* Recent news. Has there been any movies, TV shows, or news events even remotely related to your topic? Make a post and ask people what they think! People love to chime in on conversations. You can lure people in who never heard of your topic area, and who now become addicted.

* Personal reviews. Comment about your favorite book, store, or anything else related to your topic. Ask people what their favorites are. Everyone has an opinion.

* Silliness
Sometimes you just need to have fun. Say your topic is knitting and it's just very quiet in the knitting world. Think up an oddball post - like "what would George Washington have liked to knit?" Who knows what people would think up! An apple? A wooden tooth? Get your people laughing!

Learning how to promote yourself is good for every project you take on in life, no matter on what website or in what other arena!
