Greetings and Salutations -
I've added two new lessons to our "Writing for the Web" course. This course can be found in the members area. The new lessons are on capitalization and on commonly confused words.
Please take a look at them and let me know if you have any questions or comments! I'm happy to expand them with more examples, if you have specific areas you'd like covered.
So our first five lessons are now:
1: Comma Usage
2: Apostrophes
3: That vs Which
4: Capitalization
5: Commonly Confused Words
Let me know what else you'd like to learn more about in terms of writing for the web. I set the course up assuming we'd have 10 lessons, so I've got spots for more topics! I just need to know what you'd like me to cover :).
EDITOR CHAT
Let's have an editor chat next Wednesday, August 31st at 9pm EST. The main topic will be Twitter. Using Twitter well is key to drawing in eyeballs for your various web projects. You can automate your Twitter posts if you wish, so it can be quick and easy to set up. You can use Twitter interactively, if that's what you enjoy more.
However you choose to use Twitter, it's good to know the best techniques for hashtags and other aspects of the system. That way your quick time investment reaps great rewards!
We can also talk about anything else you wish. So if you have questions, bring them along! We'll be there, live, to lend a hand.
I hope you're having a wonderful, serene summer!
Sincerely,
Lisa Shea, owner
