August 19th marks the anniversary of the birth of Coco Chanel in 1883. Even though she is no longer with us, her mark has been forever made on the world. She gave us the infamous "little black dress" and Chanel No5, among other treats.

Coco Chanel shows what can be done with positive thinking. She was not born rich; she had to work for it. She worked long hours and learned by doing.

After she had made her mark on the world, she retired - only to have a successful comeback at age 70! Even though Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel passed from this world on January 10, 1971, her sense of style will always live on.
