The foliage is turning here in the Midwest. It’s just heading into its most glorious days of color. Fill up the gas tank, pack a nice lunch with a thermos of hot chocolate, hot cider or coffee, and take a day trip to enjoy the splendor. I have a great very quick recipe I use for “Cheaters Potato Soup”. I call it "Cheater's Potato Soup" because it tastes like homemade without all the work. This soup is great in a thermos just add some crusty bread and you’ve got a Fall Drive Tail-Gate picnic to go!

Enjoy the drive!

Cheaters Potato Soup

3 cans of diced potato’s
1 can cream of potato soup
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 cup milk
1 Tbs powedered Ranch Dressing (the one in the envelope) can add more to your own personal taste
1 Tbs bacon bits
Salt and pepper to taste

I usually simmer this on Warm in the slow cooker. It can also be made in a stockpot on the stove. Mix all ingredients together, stir well and cook over medium heat until heated through.

I hope to hear from you soon, either in the forum or in response to this email message. I enjoy readers feedback!
