March 17 2007 Senior Issues Newsletter
My surgery went wonderfully, but after it was over, part of my incision got infected, so I've been under strictest orders to take it easy and behave myself. (You can read more about it in the forum if you're so inclined.)
Please be patient with me, and I'll be back in the blink of an eye. Well, maybe not that quickly, but by the first of April, anyway.
IN THE MEANTIME....
THERE HAS BEEN A HUGE RECALL of pet food by Menu Foods. (http://www.menufoods.com/recall/Press_Recall_03162007.pdf). This recall affects "cuts and gravy" style cat and dog food in cans and pouches. According to the Menu Foods pet release, your dry food should be safe.
ARE YOU READING ANY good books recently? I purchased Hannibal Rising by Thomas Harris to read while I was recovering from surgery, and I'm wishing I'd saved my money. Sure, it's a nasty little thriller that requires little or no analytical thought, but it's sad to see a meaty villian like Hannibal so thoroughly neutered and declawed. Hannibal the Nazi Hunter? I don't think so!
I wish all of you the very best, and my next newsletter, hopefully within the next week or so, will announce the publication of a new article. In the meantime, don't forget to visit the forums.
