TIP OF THE WEEK:
If you get a check from Medicare/Social Security don't be too quick to cash it. Medicare mistakenly sent out about 50 million dollars in checks, refunding seniors for their prescription drug premiums and saying that the premiums would no longer be deducted from their social security checks. THIS WAS AN ERROR. Your premiums will continue to be deducted and your prescription drug coverage will continue without interruption as long as you send the check back to Medicare or repay the money if you have already cashed the check. (And I thought MY computer had gremlins!)
