Writing for Children

February 4 2008 Writing for Children Newsletter

Hi! How are my favorite authors?

Do you consider yourself as your own favorite author? I do, it's not an ego thing, I like my writing, I'm my number one fan, and that's okay. Write yourself a note this month, afterall, it's almost Valentine's Day, and tell yourself what a great writer you are!

This week, we talk about reality in our writing, and um . . . yeah, we talk about bathrooms.

Have a great, safe and writing filled week!

Fiction and Reality
How “real” does your fiction have to be when it comes to writing for children and teenagers? Be careful, they can be your toughest audience when it comes to “your” make-believe world and characters. You have to stay “real”.
