How To Grip The Ball
"Get a grip." Are they talking about bowling? I like to think so because there are three basic types in bowling - the "conventional, "semi-fingertip," and the "full fingertip." As you progress through your game, you will eventually settle on the one that feels best for you.

Teaching Junior Bowlers
When coaching junior bowlers, we cannot focus only on the physical and skills-oriented aspects of the sport.

The End of The Bowling Ball Matter
In two previous articles, we covered ball and bowler types, cores, locator pins, and positive axis points. This final article in the series will discuss the track, flare, center of gravity, and mass bias of a bowling ball.

Bowling Ball Balance
Moving on from the different ball types, this article covers aspects that affect the balance of a ball, therefore influencing how it will roll down the lane.

I Don't Understand My Bowling Ball!
It used to be "so simple" in the 1960's. There were four manufacturers of rubber bowling balls, you threw a full roller or semi-roller, and depending on the top weight and where it was in the ball, your finger holes were drilled up or down from, and left or right of, that top weight indicator.

Oil Patterns
Today's bowler must learn about bowling oil patterns if they want to increase their level of competitiveness.

Visualization
Visualization should be a part of every bowler's game in order to develop their competitiveness and raise their average.

Scorekeeping
Keeping track to make sure that the computer is keeping your bowling score accurately is your responsibility.

Practice With A Purpose
"Practice, practice, practice" and "Practice makes perfect." We've all heard it, but, how many of us do it?

The 10 Pin Tap
Nothing bothers and frustrates people more than to hit the solid 1-3 pocket and leave what is known as a "tap," "a ringing ten," or other various names, some of them not being repeatable in public.
