If you are interested in a step-by-step instructional "guide" to help you find balance and direction in your life, Hassler's book is a great starter.

Succeed on Your Own Terms by Herb Greenberg and Patrick Sweeney
Greenberg and Sweeney are the powers behind Caliper and Caliper - Profile (consulting and personality profiling). They bring years of experience and a basketfull of personal success stories (including those of Roger Staubauch, Senator Barbara Boxer, David Oreck, Ben Vereen, Michael Graves, Samuel Pisar, and others) to illustrate what makes successful people successful and how it is they stay that way. This is the perfect read for the success-minded graduate student.

How to Survive a Move by Jamie Allen and Kazz Regelman
If you're the type that puts out the clock and winds up the cat (in other words, chaos theory rules your life) and you're planning for a move, this little book should be on your "must have" list. The authors surveyed hundreds of people for their input regarding the most important things to focus on and how to avoid pitfalls in a move. Most of the advice is really helpful; and the stories about the "Worst Moves Ever" will keep you smiling--even as you desperately dig to find that unmarked box holding your research files.
