I am a stepmother, I have a stepmother, and I´m a psychologist specializing in clinical work with marriages and families.
I did my undergraduate and graduate work at the University of Texas at Austin and remain a Longhorn fan. Just out of graduate school I had a non-fiction book on stress which led to national and international consultation. Since that time I´ve had many articles on relationships and anxiety management.
Last year I opened a project to "pay forward" what I´ve learned over the year of training and doing therapy on the web as http://www.Mysteryshrink.com.
TOO RICH and TOO THIN, Not an Autobiography-- an the humorous mystery published by Echelon Press is just out.

This role of step-parent is one of the most complicated and difficult to do well, or to do at all. My goal is to provide an on-going and living place where step-mothers, step-children and the spouse with children from previous marriage can find practical and psychologically solid information.
And have some fun, too.
