My name is Neville Sexton. I’m 32yrs old and live in South East Ireland. I’m currently a freelance copy-editor(www.thewritersgrotto.com) and holistic therapist(www.thehealersgrotto.com), but this has not always been the case. I hold a primary BSc. in Applied Physics and first moved and worked in the Telecommunications and IT industry. I spent many years carving out quite a lucrative career for myself but on June 25th 2006 this all stopped. My six year old son, Craig, was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour and was given just 6 – 9 months to live.
Craig’s mother and I gave up everything at that point to look after our beautiful boy, but fate just would not be ignored: On November 2nd 2006, only four months after his initial diagnosis, Craig went ahead of us. It has been the single most devastating, life changing event in my life and every day, every part of me cries to be with him again. I simply miss my little friend.
I have spent the last two years trying to come to terms with this loss and I’d like to share my journey, my thoughts and my compassion with all those readers who want to stop by and listen.
