Let me introduce myself. My name is Chris Curtis and I am an accountant by education, a commercial banker by career, and a trainer by love. Four years ago, I left a 25+ year commercial banking career in a major metropolitan area to relocate in the beautiful Appalachian mountains.
Throughout my career, computers have been a major thread, from serving as project manager of two main frame conversions to automating a bankīs credit analysis and operations departments, to training lenders on system tools. I began working with Desktop (PCs) Computers in 1980 when they were first introduced to the market. I have owned a home computer since November 1981. From then until now, there havenīt been too many days that I have not had my hands on a computer. Am I addicted, perhaps so.
Today, I teach Desktop Office suite programs to a wide audience. I am MOUS certified in the MS Office suite, experienced with the Lotus Millenium Suite, and familiar with the Corel Office Suite. I also consult with my clients to help them effectively use their Office program effectively to simplify their assignments. My expertise is in end user software, I leave the hardware and networking to the real techies.
My greatest joy in life is to give and training is one way I can give away a part of myself. My satisfaction comes from my studentsī success in using the programs. Itīs such a pleasure to watch a student grow confident in their skills.
Goal of my site: You will find a wealth of information about the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, and VBA. The information will be instructive as well as informative.
