About the BellaOnline Folklore and Mythology Editor

This editor is currently in training...

Hello and welcome!
My name is Michelle Roberti and I am your new editor for Folklore and Mythology here at Bellaonline. Currently I am in the training process, but I am moving along as quickly as I can so I can begin writing, on what I hope will be, topics that you will find interesting and informative.

I am currently working on my BA in English with a minor in Education, as it is my desire to teach high-school English, something I’ve wanted to do since I was a little girl. Being a “little girl” was quite some time ago for me, as I am now fast approaching my mid-forties! Yet throughout the years I have been true to myself as I am an avid reader, as well as, a passionate writer. It is with due hope that my enthusiasm will not only inspire my future students, but my readers here at Bellaonline.
I am an ardent “bookworm” and own an extensive collection of books on various topics; to me “knowledge is power” (Francis Bacon.) I hope to share with you my knowledge of both fairytales/folklore and mythology. Although I do not have a formal background in either topic, I will do my best to be informative and precise. Nothing less will suit me and I will give nothing less to you, as well.
I thoroughly enjoy researching and uncovering the who, what, where, when and why of the past with a special interest in how things began and why they were started. To supplement that, I enjoy knowing what impact they had “back then,” as well as, today. I am fascinated with Greek mythology, Ancient Greece, Egypt, the Middle East and Rome and the significance they have played in history.
Aside from "Alice in Wonderland," by Lewis Carroll, my favorite book is "One Thousand and One Nights." I am also very interested in art and hopefully will be able to weave some wonderful artwork into the fabric of my topic.

So welcome to my wonderful world of fables, fairytales, folklore and mythology!
