I have been an editor at BellaOnline since December 2007. Writing and researching is my passion. I do heavy research and draw from my own knowledge and experiences to give you, my readers, the best possible articles. I have been the editor/author for the Native American site, the Folklore and Mythology site, am currently at the Appalachia site and now am back once again to be your Folklore and Mythology editor/author.
My interest in folklore and mythology started when I was very young. My father was a great storyteller and inspired me to find out about the world just on the other side of our reality. When working in the gardens with Dad he would caution me not to step on the "wee folk" or disturb the faeries. This intrigued me so much that I began reading and studying works from William B. Yeats and other scholarly masters of folklore and mythology long before I got to high school. So, I am now very pleased to be back in the realm of the mystical.
The ancient gods and goddesses of the world pantheons, the legendary heroes and heroins from battles of old, the romantic Arthurian legends and so much more in the mythological stories take me to worlds of beauty and fascination -- I will share all this with you in my articles and hope you will come discuss them with me in the forum.
I will be bringing you weekly articles on some of the greatest literary works in the history of mythology and folklore. This is a vast area of literature and one I never tire of. In reading and researching I meet the greatest authors, folklorists, mythologists, and scholars of all time -- it is my desire to share them and their timeless stories with you.
I will occasionally share a ´down home folk´s recipe´ with you to surprise your family with. My old and worn recipe box is stuffed full with recipes passed down in the family for generations.
