“Love and the promise of a beautiful French life,” says native Texan Melissa Demiguel when asked what brought her to Paris. Each week she will chronicle her adventures as she lends insight to the reality of living abroad.

Educated at the University of Texas in Austin, Melissa is an experienced teacher with a taste for non-fiction writing. Other interests include music, art, cooking, fashion and yoga. She shares her Parisian apartment with husband Stéphane and their sleepy cat Miss B.

In addition to offering anecdotes of her immersion into French culture, Melissa will feature travel segments, highlight music of note, share exotic tastes and dish on trends. As she guides you through Paris and out into France’s extremities you will become better acquainted with the French “joie de vivre.”
