Words are powerful. Words are even more powerful when they are carefully constructed and fine-tuned. Literature is the use of words to paint a picture of life as we see it, life as we hope to see it, life as we wish it were, or perhaps life as it never will be. These arrangement of words can change the way we experience things, and even the way we see ourselves. Literary words open our eyes to comprehend things the way we never have, to learn, to appreciate, to give, and to share. This site is about bringing the awareness of the beauty that lies in literature, and in appreciating the authors that bring these words together.

I am Ije Kanu, an editor, a writer, a lover of literature and language. I was afflicted with the fever of excessive reading as far back as my toddler days; I didn´t recover from it then and I know I never will. I have my Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature & Political Science, and I am currently a member of two reading clubs where I meet with Lit lovers like myself and share the joys and pains of literary works and novels. I am also a freelance editor and writer; I edit articles and other works for clients, as well as write detailed profile articles for my community newsmagazine. During my spare time, I indulge myself in poetry writing and short stories, as, like the authors whose works I read constantly, I desire to create and concoct plots and themes, creating and shaping brilliant but complex characters in the process. For me, my paper is my confessor, and my pen my mouthpiece.

I am open to all and everything that has to do with learning more about literary fiction, for my benefit as a continuous learner, but more importantly for the benefit of readers all over.
