I love doing research! I graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a B.S. in chemistry and behavioral sciences. During that time I won a grant to conduct a social psychology experiment. The results of the study were presented at the Texas Academy of Sciences. Later, in graduate school at University of Texas at Dallas, I researched communication by deaf children with cochlear implants, presenting my findings at several national and international conferences.

But how does that relate to my site topic, public health? My ability to communicate the results of research in a clear, understandable style is the basis for my qualifications as editor. I have done independent research on many public health areas, such as emergency preparedness, emerging diseases, nutrition, maternal and child health, and bioterrorism. I am familiar with terminology and have developed a knowledge base that will allow me to give you accurate and up-to-date guidance for staying healthy.

On a personal note, I have a son and daughter in college, both of whom are entering the health care field. Lunar Moth Productions, my home business, produces photo/video montages, writing (fiction, non-fiction, and poetry) and art (digital, photography.) I advocate for mental health services, environmental concerns, and child welfare. I look forward to getting to know you via this great website!
