Cynthia studies creative writing and cultural anthropology at a local university. She is particularly interested in the cultural influences that shape life in the southeast USA. For this reason she hopes to explore the various cultures that make up the people of this section of the country, their traditions and beliefs, foods, and places of interest to travelers who are interested in more than just the average waterpark or outlet mall.
Cynthia formerly edited the BellaOnline Single Parents site; however, once her children grew up, she began to feel that she was less connected to the needs of a single parent and more to the exploration of life. As she pursued her studies, she began to realize that writing – creative nonfiction, fiction, and poetry – were her passion. She plans to use this site to explore creative nonfiction and share interesting and fact-filled information about the Southeast USA with her readers.
With two grown daughters, two step-grandchildren, and the recent birth of a grandson, Cynthia realizes the need to explore the world both with loved ones and as an individual. Her intent is to write articles about the Southeast USA that will appeal to both families and individuals alike. She is excited about taking this journey with her readers.
