Sally Apokedak has written many novels and short works for young children, middle grade readers, and young adults. She´s even sold some of what she´s written. Various print and Internet magazines, including Highlights for Children, have published her short stories and articles.

She also rambles regularly at her blog, All About Children´s Books.

She´s a member of the Society of Children´s Book Writers and Illustrators and American Christian Fiction Writers and is a writing conference junkie.

She loves:

• Reading children´s books aloud to the kids (now 15 and 14 and, yes, they still love to read together)
  
• Looking at snow peaked mountains (woefully lacking in Georgia)
  
• Ice cream and milkshakes (and French fries and cheeseburgers and pizza, and, and, and. . .)
  

She hates:

• Getting to the end of a Shannon Hale book
  
• Shopping on Amazon at the end of the month when she´s already spent her budgeted book money
