Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an XBox game that thrills all Buffy fans - and isn't half bad as an action game in general.

This is an action game that has you starring as Buffy, out to save earth from evil demons. The fact that it's a female lead character that is actually a healthy shape and not (ahem) abnormally proportioned is incredibly encouraging!! Buffy kicks, punches, and has to think her way through all sorts of scenarios. There are night clubs, high schools, industrial areas, and much more.

Many of Buffy's friends are there to help her out, and many of the voices (althought NOT Buffy herself) are done by the original actors.

There are lots of combo moves, weapons to use, and the monsters you fight are quite intelligent. Sometimes they'll help out a 'friendly type' of monster, but at other times they'll sit back and let a monster fend for himself before stepping in to help out. Good variety, even though a lot of the action is very linearly scripted.

I know many, many people who got the game solely because it involved Buffy - even though they don't normally play computer games. For that fact alone it's a great game, to introduce millions of people to the fun world of computer and console gaming!
