African Grey Parrots are amazing birds. Not all of them will talk, but most will either talk or have some interesting sound effects. They are usually quite happy playing on their own or spending time with their person.

Jewel talks quite a bit. She tells me what she wants and when she wants it. She calls the dogs and throws food out of her cage onto the floor for them. She also does sound effects. Every day as I am locking the back door when I head for work, I hear a perfect car alarm coming from inside the house. I don't have a car alarm, but obviously someone in the neighbourhood does.

Jewel has been a part of my life for several years now and I can not imagine life without her.
