Oven BBQ Chicken

BBQ'd Chicken From Your Microwave Makes Quick and Clean Cooking. Use your microwave to do real cooking. It will save you time and keep the kitchen cooler. This chicken comes out moist and tasty.

Micro Oven BBQ Chicken

Ingredients:

2 1/2 lb cut up broiler fryer

1 cup catsup

1/4 cup worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup vinegar

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 each med. onion, chopped

2 tbsp cornstarch

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp salt

1 tsp celery seed

1/4 tsp liquid smoke*

2 each dashes red pepper sauce

Instructions:

1.Cut chicken into pieces; cut each breast half into halves.

2. Arrange chicken skin sides up and thickest parts to outside in oblong baking
dish, 12 x 7 1/2 x 2-inches.

3.Mix remaining ingredients in 4-cup glass measure.

4.Microwave uncovered on high (100%) 3 minutes; stir.

5. Microwave until mixture boils and thickens, 2 to 3 minutes.

6. Pour sauce over chicken. Cover loosely and microwave on high (100%) 10
minutes.

7. Rearrange chicken and baste with sauce.

8. Cover loosely and microwave until chicken is done, 10 to 15 minutes, basting with sauce every 5 minutes.

Servings: 8

Hint: *You can find Liquid Smoke in the condiments section of your supermaket. My mom used this and Gravy Master many year's ago. You can go to the Liquid Smoke site to find out how you can get a free sample of the product.(see Related Links at the right side bar) It and Gravy Master lend themselves to microwave cooking.
