Marie Osmond and her partner Jonathan Roberts have managed to dance into week 6 of competition on Dancing With the Stars despite the scare the judges and host Tom Bergeron, along with Marie's partner, had while watching Marie tumble to the floor live on Monday's dance show.
Fans watched as Marie and Jonathan finished dancing the samba and proceeded to the judging spot to hear their remarks. As judge Len Goodman was in the middle of his critique, Osmond fainted to everyone's surprise - a few audience members were even seen laughing as if the collapse were a joke, they soon found as the show quickly went to a commercial break that the spell was no joke. Once the show returned, Marie was seen composed and seemingly feeling fine and proceeded to apologize for the event as it was not the first time it had happened to the singer. Host Samantha Harris tried to make light of the situation by alluding that Marie had made herself faint to get 10s from the judges - this not being the case as Osmond and Roberts were awarded 7s by each of the judges, just 21 points out of a possible 30. The judges were obviously not sympathetic with their scores and it would be up to the fans to vote whether or not Osmond was able to continue to compete, despite her condition.
As seen on Tuesday's show, billionaire and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban along with his partner Kym Johnson were eliminated from the competition after being in the final 2 with actress Jane Seymore and partner Tony Dovolani. Fans obviously feel that Marie deserves another chance at the DWTS title after Monday's incident.
Cuban joins previously eliminated stars: model Josie Maran and partner Alec Mazo, Abercrombie & Fitch model Albert Reed with partner Anna Trebunskaya, Las Vegas performer Wayne Newton and past DWTS winner - partner Cheryl Burke, and boxing champion Floyd Mayweather with partner Karina Smirnoff. Just 7 competitors remain on Dancing With the Stars, and next week fans will see them dance in the first group performance.
Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC with the dance portion of the competition appearing Mondays at 8pm EST and the results show Tuesdays at 9pm EST.
