Jane Lynch's Music Entertainment

Jane Lynch's Music Entertainment
Hugely popular TV show Glee's award-winning Jane Lynch debuted her national public service announcement to promote music education in America this week.

As the witty and bitter cheer coach, Sue Sylvester, Jane revved up her megaphone to promote Twentieth Century Fox Entertainment's campaign to donate $1 million to arts education in the good 'ole US of A. "Beyond Glee," the Public Service Announcement program is expected to air on television and cable stations across the country.

The popularity of Glee has introduced more young students to choir and arts in general in schools more than just about anything else in recent years. The Glee movie showcased students who found strength, meaning, and their "voice" in the world by watching the show.

While Glee's show tends to run heavy on the sexual side in its weekly plots, it also packs a punch in self-esteem, respect, tolerance, and friendship. The show's fan base is huge, counting teens, as well as their parents who adore the large showcase of 80's hits.

The National Association for Music (NAfME) has joined forces with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment (TCFHE) to create "Glee Give a Note," a campaign that will donate a million dollars to schools around the country to help them build their arts departments. Eligible high schools are invited to submit videos about why their schools deserve a grant.

After two rounds of voting, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will announce the 73 school winners in December 2011. Those schools will receive grants from $10,000 to $50,000 each.

By the way, "Glee, The Complete Second Season" DVD hits stores this week, allowing you to relive each of the 22 episodes from last year, plus some bonus features that have never been shown.

Glee's Season Three premiers on September 20th. The promos that hit the internet allude to a punk Quinn, Blaine converting from dalton Academy to the New Directions, Emma and Will getting together, and Santana and Brittany back on the Cheerios. I guess we'll have to watch to see what really happens.

Go grab a Slushie and sing like nobody's listening.
