Creamy Banana Shake

Creamy Banana Shake
This very simple creamy drink is one my mom used to make for my brothers and me as youngsters. She made it without the banana, when I became older I made the drink my own with addition of fruit. You can use strawberries also. Although this is a treat drink for children, it's my favorite drink for barbeque that is off-the-charts hot. It's very cooling.

The basic ingredients are Pet Evaporated milk, Watkins Vanilla flavor, sugar and ice. I add banana to make this even creamier. Crush ice in a blender. Ice should reach 1/2 way mark on blender. Stop blender. Add enough evaporated milk to ice to reach 3/4 mark. Add 1 tablespoon vanilla, 1 tablespoon sugar, Blend gently. Cut banana into drink and blend on high until drink* is frothy and ice cold.

Serve in ice cream soda glasses with a straw.

*Grownups may like this with a touch of rum added. I learned to do that later still.
