When you hear the word “abundance” what comes to mind? Is abundance about wealth and money or is it learning how to attract riches into your life? Is abundance more of a spiritual concept or is it practical? Let’s explore the concept of living in financial abundance.
What does the word “abundance” mean to you? Take a few minutes and think about it – when you picture abundance, what do you visualize? Is it money raining down from the sky? Is it a beautiful home? Is it being surrounded by beauty and happiness? Is it an emotional peace? Is it economic self-sufficiency?
Abundance is a powerful word! It means different things and evokes different emotions in everyone. But the one thing that is consistent is that abundance can conjure up positive aspirations of hope and prosperity for the future.
Abundance is the opposite of lack.
Abundance is about being “prosperous” in every aspect of your life. Enjoying financial success means enjoying the life you are creating. Being abundant is about believing, without a doubt, you have the right and ability to be wealthy!
From a spiritual aspect, the universe is energy and by using this energy in positive ways, you can attract even more abundant and prosperous energy into your life. Abundance goes hand-in-hand with the Law of Attraction.
From a practical aspect, economical abundance is about operating under the assumption that there are more than enough universal resources for everyone to prosper. The “pie” of wealth increases daily.
Or, is abundance a combination of spiritual belief and practical application?
From a spiritual aspect, Rhonda Byrne has an entire chapter dedicated to attracting financial abundance in her best selling book, The Secret.
From a practical aspect, David Bach dedicates the first part of his book, Smart Women Finish Rich, to understanding your beliefs and values so you can fully develop the wealth habits to become even more financially abundant and wealthy.
From the combination aspect, T. Harv Ecker combines the two in his book, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind – Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth. He explores how your thoughts create your actions and your actions create energy. Then, depending on whether this energy is negative or positive you will either repel or create wealth.
So, back to the original question: Is abundance a spiritual concept or a practical economic way of living life? Can you attract money into your life with belief and positive thinking? Is abundance strictly an economic concept of more than enough financial resources for everyone to thrive? Or, is abundance a combination of positive mental belief and positive financial actions?
