Egrets, Eastern Phoebes and Emus are a few of the birds that begin with the letter E.
Eastern bluebirds are found from around the Kansas line eastwards. They´re around 7" long and can be either bright or dull blue depending on the season.
The Eastern Phoebe is common across the eastern half of the US, and up into Canada. It is occasionally spotted in western US. It is around 7" long, and is found in wooded areas and also near water.
Snowy egrets are lovely white birds with wispy end feathers. They have long black legs and a yellow beak. They´re found across the southern US.
Embeden White Goose
The Embeden is the classic white goose that you find on lakes and at farms. Tracing back to Britain in the early 1800s, it quickly became the goose of choice.
One of my favorite bird sightings in Canterbury, England was of the moorhen - a type of gallinule. Moorhens are found mostly in southern England, by water.
An Emu stands 6' tall and can be a fierce defender of its territory.
