Three Pork Tenderloin Recipes If your family can’t stand the thought of another “We’re having chicken for dinner tonight” meal, I’ve got just the solution! Actually, I’ve got three of them! Pork Tenderloin is a lean and healthy meat that can be prepared in a variety of ways. I’ve found the following recipes to be very freezer friendly. In addition, each recipe can be made with only TWO items (not including the side items). The best part about these recipes is that your kids can really take part in helping prepare each recipe. Recipe Number One: Apple Roasted Pork Tenderloin Ingredients • 1 pork tenderloin • 1 jar of Apple jelly Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. 2. Warm jelly over low heat. 3. Place pork tenderloin in oven and bake for 30 minutes. 4. Pour jelly over pork tenderloin, and bake for 10 more minutes. 5. Repeat every ten minutes until pork tenderloin is cooked through. 6. Serve with a tossed salad, veggies, and extra melted apple jelly for a sweet topping. 7. Children LOVE the fact that they are having jelly with dinner. This recipe is a great one to get young children excited about foods other than chicken nuggets and happy meals! Recipe Number Two: Crescent Wrapped Pork Tenderloin Ingredients: • 1 pork tenderloin • 1 pack of Crescent Rolls Direction: 1. Wrap crescent rolls over pork tenderloin. 2. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 -2 hours, or until cooked through. 3. Serve with applesauce and corn on the cob. 4. Leftover dough can be used to entertain young children while dinner bakes! Recipe Number Three: Slow Cooker BBQ • 1 pork tenderloin • 1 jar of your favorite BBQ sauce Directions: 1. Spray inside of slow cooker with a non stick cooking spary. 2. Place pork tenderloins in slow cooker. 3. Cook on low for 7-9 hours. 4. Drain, and then finely shred or chop pork tenderloin. 5. Pour barbecue sauce over tenderloin and cook an additional thirty minutes on slow. 6. Serve with rolls, corn, and green beans for a healthy and lean meal. | Related Articles | Previous Features | Site MapContent copyright © 2008 by Brandii Lacey. All rights reserved.
