The Universe has such a creative bloodline. Yet, when it comes to control, that’s pretty much what seems to give us the greatest sense of comfort. Still, when things don’t quite turn out as we'd planned, is it the loss of control or the infinite amount of possibilities that have the most meaningful say so in the end?

While everything is going along as planned, schedules, meetings, kids off to school, dinner, looking forward to someone we love walking through the door, or just the one moment we can relax, it's wonderful! But, when there's a twist in the road and the unthinkable happens, there can be a period of adjustment that may not be what it seems.

There's a certain grounding setting goals, but is there a parameter of the Universe where things happen for a reason and specifically due to everything we'd hoped for but possibly missed in what the Universe had planned for us?

Desire is certainly something, we‘d be lost with out it. Wanting, hoping, each one of these has a vitality in the end with something we specifically had hoped to gain. But when they dont, why are our hopes dashed so easily when something as simple as a day, a job working for someone else, or a life path doesn't quite turn out as planned, when everything natural, around us, reflects proof-positive that some of the greatest quests were in fact due to random creativity, or maybe not?

Each day, moment within a moment, comes with it a little bit of uncertainty. Along with that uncertainty, not only does the Universe become much larger and more beautiful than we ever could have imagined, but the limitations we’d inadvertently laid out for ourselves, expecting, can be fanned through and peeled away like layers of an onion.

What we want to happen or had hoped for in any given situation, be it with a person, career, home or finances, is really just a snap shot of reality. But reality could really be more usefully seen as a temporary state of being with infinite possibilities! Within those possibilities we were meant to grow, bend, and challenge whatever it is we thought we knew. And, even then, as much as we do know, there's always something we haven’t yet scratched the surface, waiting just around the corner.

So what about that fraction of a moment, one in which we were hoping to be with a certain person, a job, a promotion, a particular house or even something as simple as a weekend we were hoping might be a little more exciting than usual, but none of those things came to be? What if instead, something was happening without our even knowing?

What if that tear you wiped away because your relationship is failing, catches the attention of a person who, at that exact moment, wonders if there's any humanity left in the world? What if the reality of losing that big break getting your foot in the door was in fact the one thing that lands the biggest career move in your life or ends up making time for a husband or wife contemplating a critical decision from being neglected in the past? At any given time there are differing realities merging without our even knowing.

If we can resist the temptation of falling back to that one place we once understood as being safe and in control, and instead ventured into unknown territory with child-like enthusiasm, it is there, guaranteed, we will find an even more creative outcome just waiting for us to explore.
