Discus Fish

The wonderful Discus fish is one to cherish. People who have owned these beautiful fish have talked about how personable the Discus is.

I have personally seen a discus fish watch people walk around the room and follow their movements. When a container of fish food was picked up, the dear discus showed his recognition of the container by jumping up and down at the surface of the aquarium water so hard that water splashed out of the tank!

They said he also likes to watch t.v. He is not the only one. I have been told that this is a common experience among Discus pet parents.

Discus are a joy to have in your home aquarium. They get to know you and obviously are happy to see you when you return home. Many Discus fish have been known to enjoy eating from the hand of their pet parent. Of course, make sure your hands are clean and soap-free for the safety of your fish. ( :
