Makeover for a New Career

Guest Author - Lynne Chapman

Our model has a pretty face and looks nice with long hair. But look what happens when her style is updated. The long hair is her school girl look. The shorter softly waved style is great for her new business look and is easy to care for on those early mornings.
A shorter style even changes the appearance of the shape of her face. The shorter style makes her face seem thinner and accents her lovely eyes. Our model makes the leap from 'school girl' to sophisticated woman with this style update.

The Hair Cut
Her long hair was fine and limp. The natural wave was released when the layers wer cut. The shorter style makes use of lots of texurizing so that she can flip out pieces and fluff it easily. It will take much less time to do and look like she spent the morning at the salon!

The Styling
She should shampoo her hair using products for fine hair so that she retains body. She will apply medium, flexible hold styling mousse for more body and control. Using a blow dryer, she will fluff her hair dry using her fingers and use a large round brush on the bangs. To shape the style after it is dry, she will use the round brush and heat from the blow dryer on the top and sides.

The Hair Color
Our model's medium blond hair was highlighted, using foil and high lift tint for soft light blond strands that accent the lines and flips of the style.
