Acne Home Remedy
Acne is a serious skin problem that affects many adults. Dermatologist state that acne occurs when oil trapped under the skin is contaminated with bacteria. Alternative Medicine Experts hold that acne is a result of toxin building up in the body. Toxins are caused by improper diet or eating too many fatty foods, starches, and sweets. They also theorize that drinking too much tea, coffee, soda's and alcohol may also contribute to acne problems. Another factor is that dirt on the skin leads to grime and oil. This oily grimy buildup blocks the pores and contributes to acne. Consequently, it is important to keep the skin clean.
Take a walk through the aisles in a drug store and it is easy to find a large number of preparations to treat acne problems. There are so many choices that it is frequently just too confusing to whittle down choices to one. Another problem is that the over the counter preparations rarely treat the underlying cause of the acne. One alternative is to try a homemade acne remedy. Remember to consult your doctor before trying any of these home remedies.
Tea Tree Oil
Scientific research established that tea tree oil fights bacteria. Consequently, the tea tree oil is a beneficial preparation for treating acne. Note: It is important to gently dab the tea tree oil on cleansed skin. People with very sensitive skin should use with caution.
Studies show that zinc supplements may help reduce the inflammation that is associated with acne flare-ups. Zinc supplements are available at most health or vitamin stores.
Epsom Salt Bath
Keep skin clean and free of toxins to reduce an acne flare-up. Regular skin cleansing is a must. It is a fact that some people who suffer with acne report that a regular Epsom salt bath a few times a week helps treat the acne.
Change your dietary habits. Reduce or eliminate the amount of tea, coffee, soda, and alcohol consumed. Eliminate fatty foods and starch foods. Eat more raw fruits, vegetables, and grains.
Researchers found that people who drank a few glasses of water per day, in addition to other fluids, found that the extra fluid in their system helped to flush acne causing toxins out of the pores.
