It is not surprising, but very encouraging that large companies are know making soft soap products with environmentally friendly products. Here is a way to reuse a product instead of throwing it away. Check out this soft soap recipe that is very easy to make.
Several bits of used soap
One cup of boiling water
Pour the boiling water over the bits of soap and mix the soap up completely until dissolved. Store the soft soap in a squeeze top container or a pump dispensers that are available at most dollar stores.
Vanilla is a very sweet smelling scent and very appropriate scent to add to a soap recipe add almonds, which are great exfoliates and skin softeners. This is the perfect home made soap to cleanse and nourish skin.
1/3 cup whole almonds
1 4-ounce bar Castile soap
1/4 cup distilled water
1 tablespoon almond oil
1/8 teaspoon vanilla fragrance oil
Take the almonds and place them in a coffee grinder or food processor. Grind up the almonds until they are a fine powder. Set the almonds aside. Now, cut the soap up into pieces and set it aside. Pour water into a heavy sauce pan and bring the water to a boil. Reduce the heat when the water starts to boil and let the water simmer. Remove the sauce pan from the heat and add the almond oil, almond powder, vanilla fragrance. Stir the mixture until it is blended thoroughly. Spoon the soap into a mold of your choice and let the soap set in the mold until it hast hardened completely.
This is another soap that is composed of purely natural products that are very
therapeutic for the skin.
4 ounces of unscented glycerin soap
10 drops lavender fragrance
1 teaspoon of beeswax
Purple food coloring (optional)
A mold for the soap
Melt the soap in a pan over low heat until completely liquefied. Add the grated beeswax and stir until melted. Remove the ingredients from the heat and add the scent. Stir until well blended. Pour the mixture into a mold and let it stand until it has hardened. Ingredients for the home made organic soaps are found at drug stores, health food stores or on the Internet.
