Flash CS6 Drawing and Painting Tools
In this tutorial, we will continue our tour of the FlashR  Tools panel.

Drawing and Painting Tools

Line Tool - Used to draw straight lines on the stage.

Rectangle Tool - Used to draw rectangles and squares on the stage with a stroke and fill, stroke only or fill only. You will be able to set the color for the stroke and fill, as well as use other controls in the Properties panel.

Oval Tool - Used to draw oval and circular shapes on the stage which may have a stroke and fill, stoke only or fill only. More controls are in the Properties panel.

Rectangle Primitive Tool - This tool allows you to draw a rectangle or square with special controls for shaping the corners of the rectangle.

Oval Primitive Tool - This tool is used to draw ovals and circular shapes with special controls in the Properties panel.

PolyStar Tool - This tool is for drawing multi-sided shapes and stars. You will be able to control the number of points that the shape contains.

Pencil Tool - The Pencil tool is used for freehand drawing vectors.

Brush Tool - This freeform vector drawing tool creates shapes that only have a fill but no stroke.

Spray Brush Tool - This tool acts as a air brush or particle spray tool to "spray" symbols.

Deco Drawing Tool - This tool will draw several copies of a symbol such as buildings, vines, flowers or smoke. There are several preset symbols to choose from or you can use your own movie clips or symbols.

Bone Tool - This tool is used to create connections or joints between objects for Inverse Kinematics.

Bind Tool - This tool gives you controls for refining the IK relationship.

Paint Bucket Tool - This tool is used to add or change the fill color for an object on the stage.

Ink Bottle Tool - Works much like the Paint Bucket tool. However, will add a stroke color to a shape.

Eyedropper Tool - You will use this tool to select colors from objects on the stage or swatches, setting that color as the stroke or fill color.

Eraser Tool - This tool will remove pixels from the stage. It is not only used for making changes to drawn objects but also for creating special effects such as masking.

View Tools

Hand Tool - This tool is used to drag the stage.

Zoom Tool - You will use this tool to zoom in and out on the stage.

Stroke Color - Click on the color box to set the stroke color.

Fill Color - Click on the color box to set the fill color.

Black and White - Click on this icon to set the stroke color to black and the fill color to white.

Swap Color - Click on this icon to switch the stroke and fill colors.

Snap to Objects - When this setting is activated objects will automatically align as you draw or drag the objects on the stage.
