Creating a Class with Flash ActionScript
We have been discussing the options for including ActionScript in a Flash project. The ActionScript code that we used in these tutorials drew a red circle on the stage. Letīs take a look at the code in more detail and learn how to create a class in ActionScript 3.

Mapping ActionScript to Flash Movie with Linkage
We will be using the Flash Linkage – Export for ActionScript feature to associate external ActionScript code with a symbol stored in the Library. The beauty of this method is that we can add the symbol to the stage on any frame of the Timeline and as many times as needed.

ActionScript, Document Class and Flash Movie
In an effort to move closer toward the OOP programming convention of modular code in an external file, we will now take a look at a way to include ActionScript into your Flash movie using the Document class.

Where To Put Your ActionScript Code in Flash
In this tutorial, we will begin to explore the many ways to include ActionScript in your Flash project. Iīm not talking about the many things that you can make happen with ActionScript but about how you can add ActionScript code to your Flash movie. The question is where to put the ActionScript.

Flash CS3 Drawing API, ActionScript 3, Shape Class
One of my favorite things to do in Flash is to draw onto the Stage. But I am not talking about drawing with the Flash drawing tools such as the Rectangle or Oval tool. In this tutorial, we will learn the basics for drawing with ActionScript 3 and the Drawing API.

Flash CS3 Button Component Parameters
A Button component is something very different from a Button symbol. A Button component is a simple pre-built movie clip. But, this component is only useful if you can customize its look and behavior to your own needs. Letīs take a look at just what you can do to customize the Button component.

Flash User Interface and Video Components
One of the most useful features in Flash is the Flash component which is a pre-built movie clip that has controls, called parameters, that can be used to customize the generic component for your projectīs needs.

Add Graphic Preloader Bar to Flash Website
We will continue to work on our preloader by adding a graphic animation that will give the viewer a visual representation of the download progress. We will first create the graphic that will become our movie clip animation and then add the ActionScript code that will control the animation.

ActionScript 3 Code for Flash CS3 Preloader
In our last tutorial, we set up the architecture for our example Flash website. Now we will write the ActionScript code that will run the preloader and then move on to the main movie.

ActionScript 3 Preloader - Stage and Timeline
In the next few tutorials, we will create a small text preloader animation that will run while our website is loading into the browser. In this tutorial, we will set up the architecture of our website for the preloader and main contents of the site.
