Corpse Bride

Victor Van Dort is set to marry Victoria Everglot. But mayhem ensues when the Corpse Bride wants Victor for her own. Will Victor and Victoria be able to live happily ever after? Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching Tim Burton’s animated “Corpse Bride”.

· When Victor’s parents first arrive, Mrs. Van Dort has a fur stole around her shoulders. When she starts to walk down the steps in front of their house, the fur stole is hanging loosely around each shoulder. In the very next view of Mrs. Van Dort, when she’s near the bottom of the steps, the fur stole is secured with the head biting the tail.

· Victor and Victoria are practicing their wedding vows with Pastor Galswells at the ceremony rehearsal. When Victor is having trouble lighting his candle, Victoria’s candle is not lit. But after Lord Barkis Bittern takes his seat, the following side view of Victor and Victoria shows that her candle is now lit.

· After the wedding rehearsal fiasco, Victor is walking through the forest, practicing his wedding vows. When he places the ring on the hand shaped tree branch, he originally puts the ring on the “index finger”, next to the “thumb”. But when the ring is shown a few moments later, it’s now on the “ring finger” next to the “pinkie”!

· CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! After the marriage of Victoria and Barkis Bittern, everyone is seated at the table for dinner. Each guest at the table has a pheasant/chicken on the plate in front of them. Barkis then stands and makes a short speech. It then cuts to a close-up of Victoria’s parents and there are now small soup bowls on their plates instead of the chicken.

· CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! Near the end of the movie, Victor and Barkis Bittern are battling in the church. Victor has a cooking fork and scratches Barkis on his right side and leaves three noticeable tears in Barkis’ coat. But a few moments later the cuts have disappeared and are gone for the remainder of the scene.

“The Corpse Bride” (2005) was directed by Tim Burton and features the voices of Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Watson, Tracey Ullman, Albert Finney, Richard E. Grant, Christopher Lee, Michael Gough and Danny Elfman. It runs 77 minutes and is rated PG for scary images and action, and brief mild language.
