Have you waited till the last minute, and still need something to serve for dessert on Halloween? 15-Minute Halloween Black Cats, 5-Minute Halloween Caterpillar, or Monstrous Millipede can all be made in a matter of minutes. The caterpillar and millipede can be used as a cute centerpiece for the annual Halloween BOO-ffet. These treats are all no-bake and are made from store-bought fudge stripe cookies, mini chocolate donuts, and Swiss Rolls, as well as canned frosting and Halloween candies. Nothing could be easier!



15-minute Halloween Black Cats



12 Servings

12 Swiss Rolls (Little Debbie) or Ho Ho's (Hostess)
1 cup Chocolate frosting, (canned is fine)
24 Hershey’s Kisses
Black Licorice Strings
M & M's Candies

  1. Place a little frosting on the end of each Swiss Roll; place a 2-3" piece of licorice string in the frosting for the tail.
  2. Spread frosting on the top of the other end of the Swiss rolls.
  3. Cut six 1" licorice strings for each cat, and press them in for whiskers.
  4. Unwrap the Kisses and cut each of the rounded parts off so they resemble an ear.
  5. Press into the frosting so they stand up.
  6. Press two M & M's between the whiskers and ears for the eyes.
  7. Let sit at room temperature until the frosting sets.

5-Minute Halloween Caterpillar

12 mini chocolate donuts
1 cup vanilla frosting, (canned is easiest)
Thin pretzel sticks
Fruit flavored Twizzlers
M & M's Candies
  1. Spread the bottoms of the donuts with frosting and stick them together so the form a long log.
  2. Push some of the donuts to the side so the caterpillar curves slightly.
  3. Push a pretzel stick on each side between the donuts to form legs.
  4. Cut pieces of colored Twizzlers to form the antennae; attach M & M's for eyes and a red piece of a Twizzler (in the donut hole) for the mouth.
  5. Let sit at room temperature until the frosting has set.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap until serving time.

Monstrous Millipede

1 cup vanilla frosting, (canned is okay)
green paste food coloring

1 16 oz. package fudge stripes cookies

Thin pretzel sticks
M & M's Candies, or Reese's Pieces
Fruit roll-ups

  1. Mix the frosting with enough food coloring to make it bright green.
  2. Spread frosting on the undersides of half of the cookies, then top each with a plain cookie, making sandwiches.
  3. Use the remaining frosting to "glue" the sandwiches together, forming a long log.
  4. Move some of the sandwiches over a little so that the millipede forms an "S" shape.
  5. Stick a pretzel into the bottom of each side of each sandwich, as well as two pretzels for antennae.
  6. Use frosting to glue eyes on the front cookie (M & M's or Reese's Pieces) and cut smiling lips from a fruit roll-up; stick on for the mouth.
  7. Let the millipede sit at room temperature until the frosting sets.
