I've researched and written about coconut oil in previous articles. Consequently, I am familiar with the benefits attributed to coconut oil. Recently, I discovered this eBook on the Amazon.com website and thought I'd take a look. I downloaded the Kindle eBook to my computer hoping to discover more information on coconut oil.
Well, I certainly was not disappointed. The eBook is filled with detailed information on coconut oil. The author gives readers a brief history about coconut oil, explains the difference between refined and unrefined coconut oil. Believe me there is an important difference. Then the eBook delves into a few top benefits associated with coconut oil. For example, coconut oil is good for the digestion, healing the body, boost the immune system, fights infection, lowers cholesterol, and much more.
The author gets to the point quickly and explains in simple terms the health benefits that are associated with coconut oil. The eBook actually covered a lot of ground in the brief pages. I especially like the details on good fat vs bad fat. Read about it in the book. According to the author, "People are concerned about their health and saturated fat has become a four letter word. All saturated fat is not bad. The body requires saturated fat to work to an optimum level. Coconut oil supplies the good saturated fats for individuals to ingest safely."
According to the author, "Coconut oil is also used in beauty treatments. The product is good for moisturizing skin, treating stretch marks, varicose veins, and conditioning the hair. Men should use coconut oil after shaving to soothe the skin. Women should use coconut oil to remove makeup. It will leave the skin smooth and without fear of irritation." The eBook is very pro coconut oil, which is clearly shown in the authors enthusiastic writing on the subject. Coconut oil is good for everything from cooking, healing, to beauty treatments, according to author Simone Donovan. I also like the fact that the chapters are short and easy to breeze through in one setting.
What I Disliked
I must say that the title is a bit too long, and I wish that the author would have added resources to back up the findings. Otherwise, this is a good read for anyone who is a newbie to the subject and interested in learning more about coconut oil and its many benefits.
