Conviction On Blu-ray Feb 1

Be inspired by one womans incredible true story of love, loyalty and commitment in CONVICTION on Blu-ray Disc and DVD February 1st from Fox Searchlight Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Based on the real-life journey of Betty Ann Waters, a courageous woman who embarked on an 18-year quest to help clear the name of her wrongly-accused brother and win back his freedom, CONVICTION features an all-star and award worthy cast including two time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby, Amelia), Sam Rockwell (Gentlemen Broncos, Matchstick Men), Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting, GoldenEye), Juliette Lewis (Whip It, Natural Born Killers) and Peter Gallagher (TVs The OC).

Without a dime, but armed with a strong will and an unwavering devotion, this high-school drop-out and working mother (played by Hillary Swank) earns her high school diploma and puts herself through law school in an effort to represent her brother (played by Sam Rockwell) and set the record straight. Convicted of murder, he has exhausted his chances to appeal his conviction through public defenders and needs a miracle.

Featuring a behind-the-scenes interview with the real Betty Ann Waters, CONVICTION is available on both Blu-ray and DVD for the suggested retail prices of $39.99 US/$ 49.98 Canada and $29.98 US/$42.98 Canada. Prebook is January 4, 2011.

Conviction has won some notoriety already: "Official Selection" Toronto International Film Festival, and at the "London International Film Festival. Boston's Film Festival absolutely loved it, awarding "Best Film", "Best Actor" for Sam Rockwell, and "Best Supporting Actress" to Melissa Leo.

The movie is rated R and features Hillary Swank doing what she does best - play the underdog with a dream. The film is based on a true story and delivers strong performances. Some critics say Juliette Lewis steals the show with her portrayal of a witness. Knowing the true ending of this story may just ruin the whole thing for you, so I won't be a spoiler...
