Garlic Shrimp with Thai Satay Sauce Recipe
Garlic Shrimp with Thai Satay Sauce is easy and delicious. If you have not had fish sauce you owe it to yourself to give satay sauce a try. The peanut butter gives the sauce a luxuriously smooth taste and flavor.

1 1/2 lb. large sized shrimp
3 medium garlic cloves, finely minced.
4 oz. grapeseed oil for frying
1 tbspn. coarsely ground black pepper
Salt to taste

Heat oil in large pan to very hot but not smoking. Add shrimp and cook for 1 minute or until shrimp start to turn pink. prawns. Stir-fry for two minutes. Turn heat off. Quickly remove shrimp from pan and add garlic and pepper to the hot oil. Toss in shrimp and cook for another minute or so. Toss to be sure that shrimp is thoroughly covered with garlic and coarse black. Add salt to taste after preparing dipping sauce below.


Satay Dipping Sauce

6 1/4 oz. smooth peanut butter
13 oz. coconut milk
Fish sauce

Blend Coconut milk and peanut butter. Add fish sauce to taste.


Hint

Coconut milk and fish sauce can generally be purchased from supermarkets in the ethnic foods section.

Garlic shrimp can be dipped in a maranara sauce with hot pepper sauce added. Warm the hot peppered maranara sauce for an added treat. Oyster crackers are good with this.
