Red is one of the brightest colors in nature, and a bird with red feathers stands out quite well. Here are birds that have red feathers.

Cardinal
Cardinals are most well known for their bright red colors on a snowy winter day - the Cardinalis cardinalis is named of course for its red feathers.

Flamingo

Muscovy Duck - Red Face Duck
The Muscovy Duck is also known as the Red Face Duck because of the bright red bands of red that run from its beak to its eyes.

Robin, American
The American Robin is often the first bird a youngster can recognize. Instead of hiding in trees, it strides along lawns, hunting for worms. Its blue eggs are often used in nest illustrations. It has a warbling song it sings, when it is feeling musical.

Roseate Spoonbill
The Roseate Spoonbill is well loved by birders for its gorgeous pink feathers and its funny spoon-shaped beak.
