It is that time again! Auditions for the eighth season of AMERICAN IDOL will begin on Thursday, July 17th at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, CA, and will then continue on to seven other cities.

Once again, auditioners will have an extraordinary opportunity to perform before millions of TV viewers and become household names, with one winning the coveted American Idol title and a major recording contract.

Open to men and women between 16 and 28 years of age as of July 15, 2008, and who are eligible to work in the U.S. This means you must be born on or between July 16, 1979 and July 15, 1992.

Registrations are planned for 2 days in advance of each venue and you are urged to register early. You will need to bring two forms of ID with you (showing age and one must be a photo ID), and if you plan on having another person with you, they must register at the same time.

Notes: Wristbands will be distributed from 7:00 AM on Tuesday, July 15 until 8:00 AM on Thursday, July 17. Auditioners will not be permitted to camp out; therefore, once they obtain their wristbands, they will be asked to return to the Cow Palace on Thursday, July 17.
