Puzzle Baby Shower Games

Take some of these puzzle game ideas and personalize them to the baby shower theme of the event you are hosting.

Build a Baby Puzzle Game

Take six slips of paper and write out the "parts of the baby". Baby shower hostesses should prepare one set for each group, or individual, who will be playing the game.
  • Head
  • Body
  • Right Arm
  • Left Arm
  • Right Leg
  • Left Leg

Put all the slips into a diaper bag and divide the guests up into groups. Each group or person gets to choose one piece from the diaper bag. If they can use the piece, they can keep it and draw again. If not, they put the piece back and loose their turn. The first team to "build their baby" wins!

Another fun way to distribute the pieces of the puzzle is to put them the slips of paper into balloons and have baby shower guests pop the balloons to get the papers out.

Toddler Board Puzzle Mix-Up Games

Purchase four sets of children's wooden puzzles. Let two groups, or individual guests, have one of the puzzle boards, but two puzzles worth of pieces - the pieces for their puzzle and pieces from the other puzzle as well. The first person (or group) to complete their puzzle successfully is the winner! Obviously, the mother-to-be will get to keep all of the puzzles for her baby. The quick action, scrambling nature of this game is a lot of fun. The party participants will have to try to figure out which of the pieces go to their puzzle, which makes for an exciting party event.

Puzzling Advice

Not necessarily a game, this is still a fun activity for your baby shower party guests to do for the mother-to-be. Give each guest one of the postcard or letter puzzles and let them write out an encouraging word, or "best mothering advice" on their puzzle. They can then take the puzzle apart, and seal it up in a ziplock bag for the expectant mother!

Be sure to give the guests bold colored markers so that the mother-to-be will be able to easily see how to put the written message together. This can be a great way for the mothers who are already there, to share their words of wisdom without overwhelming the mother-to-be at the baby shower party.
