African Grey Parrots are one of the most recognized parrots that are commonly kept as pets. This is due to their amazing talking ability and their ability to sound exactly like someone they know and love.

Even though they are known for their talking ability, not all African Grey Parrots talk. Some will whistle or make sound effects and just not say any human words at all. Even the ones that do talk, will seldom talk when you want them to, or say what you want them to say.

Most of the people that I know have only heard my Jewel talk when they were on the phone with me and never when they have been to my home or when I have had her out in public.
