Yogi Teas
Guest Author - Parthena Black

For me, nothing is more frustrating than to have trouble sleeping, especially when I have to get up early in the morning! Insomnia is certainly not conducive to dreaming, and the added stress can interfere with your rest when you finally do get to sleep.

If you enjoy herbal tea and you haven't yet tried Yogi Teas, you're missing out. They are made from high quality herbal blends that work together for specific needs or ailments. Based on ancient Ayurvedic formulas, the purpose of these teas are to calm and soothe without causing drowsiness. Calming and Bedtime teas are caffeine free. Calming tea's primary ingredients are lemon grass, gotu kola, chamomile, licorice root and kava kava. I've been drinking chamomile tea and taking kava kava for many years and these herbs always help me relax. I used chamomile with good results when I was suffering from chronic insomnia. I also love their Women's Moon Cycle tea. While it is made for menstrual and premenstrual symptoms, I've found that it works well for pre-menopausal symptoms. It contains black cohosh, an herb traditionally used for hot flashes and irritability.

Each package contains 16 tea bags as opposed to 24 in most other brands, so the price is definitely a bit higher. I've found that I can get at least two cups of tea out of each bag to stretch them a bit. Nurturing yourself is important to your physical and emotional health, so treat yourself now and then. You're well worth it.
