The fragrance of the balm is very relaxing and and not overpowering. The balm is in solid perfume form and has a nice, non-greasy consistency. I rub a little into my "third eye" area (between the eyebrows) and at my temples before bed and can smell it as I drift off to sleep. The product is olive oil based and I found that it is not at all greasy or oily. I'm not sure if I can credit this product, but I did have a very vivid dream the first time I tried it.
